Brady King - 5th grade

Brady was chosen for many reasons including his phenomenal performance on the court, in the classroom, & most importantly in the "game of life"! Brady is an excelling 5th grader at St. Marks Catholic School. Brady has volunteered his time in numerous community service projects as he understands the idea of "paying it forward"! Most importantly Brady is a great friend! He always makes sure everyone is involved and having a good time! He is very aware and compassionate to others and their feelings! Thanks for showing us what a true DREAMER is Brady!

Parker Schwers - 6th grade

Parker "BP" Schwers has been apart of the club since 3rd grade. He has shown amazing growth and has developed into a fine young player. He has led his Eagle AAU team to the 2nd round of the playoffs the last couple of seasons and also has been a big part of the HD 6th grade group! The big teddy bear will become a monster in the next few years as he keeps improving everyday!

Ayana Amaechi - 7th gradeAyana is in her first year at Hoop Dreams as a 7th grader playing on the 8th grade team. Ayana is an excellent example of a Hoop Dreams player: dedicated, coachable, positive attitude, and a hard worker. Ayana's dedication and hard work has earned her way from the 7th grade team to the 8th grade team as a very valuable player.Gavin Weisweaver - 3rd grade

Over the last three months, Gavin has shown a tremendous amount of improvement in all aspects of his game. Offensively, his shot, passing, and ball handling skills are all improving as well as learning to flow within the offense. On the defensive side, his aggressiveness always causes problems for his man. Gavin has a desire to be good and with continued focus, he will be.

Mike Martinez - 8th grade

Mike is the epitome of a Hoop Dreams player! Along with giving his maximum effort each and every time he steps on the court, Mike puts his all into being a excelling student and citizen at St. Marks Catholic School in Boise. Mike is always a willing volunteer when any opportunity to give back presents itself including giving his time and efforts to Special Olympics, Lil Dreamers, & many other programs in the community! Mike has grown tremendously in his 3 1/2 years with HD solely due to his DRIVE and DETERMINATION to the best he can be at anything he does! Mike is COMMITTED to making his dream come true!

Siolo Church - 5th grade

Siolo Church is new to Hoop Dreams this year and has been a tremendous addition to the 5th grade team. She loves most all sports but it is clear that her heart is all about basketball right now. She strives each and every practice to improve, is very coachable and her confidence on the court is getting stronger all the time. We are very glad she decided to play for us this year. Great job Siolo!!!

Karina Olson - 5 grade

Karina has shown to the coaches to be the player that has improved the most so far this season. She works extremely hard at practice to become a better basketball player. If Karina isn't spending time with her family or enjoying a good book or movie, she is working on her game. Great job Karina!! Now if we could just figure out how to get her to talk.

Brooks King - 7th grade

Over the last couple of weeks, Brooks has stepped forward in games and practice as a vocal and physical leader. In the most recent Thanksgiving Tournament, Brooks continued to be solid on the offensive end, but more impressively competed on the defensive end against the 8th grade competition, including a couple of very physical charges against some big guys.
